Elections are held each November for half of the Officers and Directors on the Board.
Being a member of LACAA has many significant benefits, worth much, much more than the dues we ask members to pay. During the time leading up to contract negotiations, the LACAA Board reaches out to its Members to see what wages, benefits and working conditions are important to them.
LACAA’s successor MOU for 2019 – 2022 was ratified by the membership in record time. Despite the mixed tone of our membership meetings, the Board is very pleased with the outcome of these negotiations, and we are confident that everyone will find at least a few things to like in this deal.
Our new MOU provides for a Professional Development Allowance every fiscal year. The terms of the Allowance are contained in the MOU, Article 31, Section D. The Allowance for the remaining half of this Fiscal Year, January through June 2020, is reimbursable.
Support Plus: Employee and Family Assistance Program launched January 1, 2019 and is available to all LAwell benefit program members and the members of their household. Support Plus provides 24-hour, free, and confidential services to cover both everyday situations and emotional health issues.
