1. PAC Meeting

LACAA was informed that the accountancy firm of Miller Kaplan was no longer handling PAC accounts. The Board considered three firms: Reed & Davidson, LLP (Los Angeles); The Sutton Law Firm (San Francisco); and Olson, Hagel & Fishburn, LLP (Sacramento). The three firms were discussed. It was noted that the Sutton Law Firm had a conflict because of the Trutanich Election. LACAA has consulted with Reed & Davidson in the past with regard to Prop. A.

Motion:
By Bobo: To retain Reed & Davidson, LLP, to manage the PAC account. Second: Hiscocks
In favor:
Winslow, Dennis, Lambert, Embry, Rosenthal, Bobo, McTeague, Brothers, Geller, Hiscocks.
Against:
None.
Abstain:
Cole Motion Passed.

2. Good-bye Party for Nuch

Other City Attorney Associations are planning a good-bye party to Nuch and his Executive Team.

Motion:
By Brothers: To give $150.00 towards the going away party for Nuch and his Executive team. Second: McTeague.
In favor:
Dennis, Lambert, Embry, McTeague, Bobo, Brothers, Cole, Hiscocks
Against:
Rosenthal
Abstain:
Winslow, Geller Motion Passed.

3. Board Meeting with Mike Feuer

Motion:
By Winslow: For Association to pay for the Feuer meeting.
In favor:
Winslow, Dennis, Lambert, Rosenthal, McTeague, Bobo, Brothers, Cole, Hiscocks, Geller
Against:
Embry
Abstain:
None. Motion Passed
 

As you know, our new MOU includes annual reimbursement for MCLE-related expenses. To ensure that you receive complete and timely reimbursement, we encourage you to follow the instructions contained in the MCLE protocol provided by City Attorney Management. You must complete and submit a reimbursement form in order to receive reimbursement.

You can reimburse expenses related to attending MCLE programs that are accepted by the California State Bar, even if the program takes place in another state. Eligible expenses include the cost of the program, travel, and per diems.

Please be judicious when choosing lodging and which food/drink expenses you submit for reimbursement.


The Board is pleased to announce that LACAA has retained the law firm of MASTAGNI, HOLSTEDT, AMICK, MILLER & JOHNSEN as General Counsel.
