On behalf of the Los Angeles City Attorneys' Association, I am pleased
to announce the results of the 2010 board election.  New and returning
officers and directors are as follows:

First Vice-President:  Howard Fuchs (two-year term)
Second Vice-President:  Mark Lambert (one-year term)
Treasurer:  Jule Bishop
Criminal Director:  Patrick Hiscocks
Criminal Director:  Nick Karno
Civil Director:  Marie McTeague  (ran unopposed and therefore re-elected)

The newly-elected or re-elected members will join the current board,
which is composed as follows:

President:  Oscar Winslow
Secretary:  Juliann Anderson
Civil Director:  Garcelle Embry
Criminal Director:  Ann Rosenthal
Proprietary Director:  Christopher Bobo

Please note that voter turnout was slightly less than 50 percent of
our 432 members.  For those who voted, thank you for supporting our
union democracy.  For those who did not cast ballots this year, please
join us in 2011 to elect LACAA's president, second vice-present,
secretary, and proprietary director, and other Board Members.

As you know, our new MOU includes annual reimbursement for MCLE-related expenses. To ensure that you receive complete and timely reimbursement, we encourage you to follow the instructions contained in the MCLE protocol provided by City Attorney Management. You must complete and submit a reimbursement form in order to receive reimbursement.

You can reimburse expenses related to attending MCLE programs that are accepted by the California State Bar, even if the program takes place in another state. Eligible expenses include the cost of the program, travel, and per diems.

Please be judicious when choosing lodging and which food/drink expenses you submit for reimbursement.

The Board is pleased to announce that LACAA has retained the law firm of MASTAGNI, HOLSTEDT, AMICK, MILLER & JOHNSEN as General Counsel.
